Raise Up

a - raise up.jpg
Raise our voice; it’s too loud
What we’re saying not heard
It becomes white noise
They would rather avoid.

We’re demeaned and accused
Often even abused
But worse we’re ignored
When we need to be heard.

Whether male or female
There’s a decision to make
You can belong to the past
Or be the reason there’s change.

Raise up women in your life
Mother sister or wife
Friend colleague or neighbour
Doesn’t matter just raise her.

To all the females who care
On the daily make noise
I hear all that you say
You’re important, always.
