Educate Positivity

Today I made a big mistake
and watched the evening news.
I was left thinking, what’s the point,
the world is rather screwed.

It really got me thinking
how this must affect our younger ones,
who are trying to find their way in this world
only to be told that it’s being destroyed.

I agree that it Is important
for the future of our planet,
for them to be made aware
of the changes that must be implemented.

But we must also show them beauty,
we need to remind them daily,
of the goodness in this world
that it’s not all gone to hell.

If we feel down and hopeless
from the news that we are fed,
imagine what it must feel like
to those who’ll still be here
long after we are all dead.
