A Million Love Songs

She was drowning in emotion,
with no outlet in sight,
trying not to cause a commotion,
or another damn fight.
The silence was deafening,
causing a great divide,
felt like they were worlds apart,
when sitting side by side.
She put the music on,
to fill up the void,
hoping their words could be,
the much-needed voice.
But a million love songs later,
and she still didn’t know,
how to communicate the love,
she was so desperate to show.
