I know I should be careful
I know this more than most
For there is nothing more unreliable
Than conversing with a ghost. 

I know I should be wary
I know this to be true
For there is nothing more relentless
Than possession by a ghoul. 

I know I should be living
I know that’s what I was
Yet somehow from all my meddling
Dead seems to be my current status. 

I should have been more careful
