Love can be brutal and leave scars that run deep
But never stop trying for a love you can keep
If a love doesn’t work out and you are broken again
Dust yourself down along with any abnegation.
Clean up your wounds, stitch them up neatly
Wear your scars proud, for each tell a story
Of a battle you’ve won, or a lesson you’ve learned
Don’t hide them away, or ever be ashamed.
