Love Conquers All

love conquers all

Love conquers all, except you
It destroyed you as you destroyed me
It has taken your memory and turned it to ashes
That once were hope but now disappear in the winds of hate.
Love conquers all, except you
You who took love for granted and expected
It to always be there, without nurture or care
Then when it wasn’t, when it was gone, you dared to seek sympathy.
Love conquers all, except you
As to conquer, would imply victory
And there is no winning with you
With your apathy and neglect, you surrendered
Not to love
But to regret.
