Seasoned Romantic

Summer held such promise, no one could deny
They felt more positive and carefree, hope would fill their eyes
Whenever Summer was around them, with her light and warming glow
They would always crave her company, she left them wanting more
Only Summer didn’t care for them, their adoration made her weak
She couldn’t wait to be away from them and all the naked pale physiques
Summer longed for Winter, he was her one and only love
She’d never met him or felt his cooling gaze, she’d only heard the stories of
Days and nights filled with wonder, at the splendours he could bring
Yes Summer dreamt of Winter, she was tired of following Spring.
