Understanding Love – Part Two

L

Longing, to be in the arms of your lover

Lost in thoughts, caring for each other

Lustful yearnings, wanting to be skin on skin

Learning, together, what it means to be in,

Love.

O

Openly declaring your feelings inside

Only having eyes for each other and have them glowing with pride

Owning, another’s heart and treating it with as much care as your own

Over and over, showing them how it has grown

Love.

Virtuous actions, treating them as you’d like to be treated

Verify, often, that your feelings are repeated

Vouch, for each other, stand up and protect

Vowed, to one another, to nurture and not neglect

Love.

Easily lost, if you don’t look after it, with care

Enviable to those, who have no love there

Eternally yours, if you love with all of your heart

Evermore, it can be, when you get it right from the start

Love.
