Cruel Words

cruel words.jpg

Her words could cut him, deeper than any blade

Slowly chipping away, at all the love he gave

So freely and without condition

She never stopped to think what her actions

Were doing to his love and soon the attraction

Would lose its appeal, he’d eventually realise

She tainted everything, soon he’d come to despise

The very one he loved, more than life

His soon to be, cruel mouthed ex-wife.
