Realisation

realisation

Her love, a powerful force of unstoppable emotion

Never faltering, eternally feeding his oversized ego

His love, a dark vortex feeding constantly on her adoration

Never returning, eternally taking all that she had to give

Her life, a shadow in his wake, ready to be there whenever he needed

Never wavering, grateful for any attention he may throw her way

His life, overshadowing everyone, ready to take whenever love was given

Never replenishing, neglecting constantly and altruistic in every way

Her realisation, that no matter how much she gave she got little in return

The time had eventually came, to cut her losses and run

His realisation, came after the fact, when he was left desperate and alone

Too late to change the damage he’d done, by the lack of love he had shown.
