Captive

captive.jpg

A sound escapes her lips, a whisper into the darkness

She tries to lift her head in vain, causing her excruciating pain

Agonising black is all she can see, I wish that she could look at me

To feel her eyes upon my face, as I move towards her with such grace

A fingertip across her cheek, she flinches now and tries to speak

I cradle her into my arms, I feel her shake with such alarm

I do not know why she fights me so, as I finish her with just one blow.
