Lost in Darkness

Lost in Darkness

As the darkness takes hold, from the inside out

Devouring all the goodness within, black encompassing all of the love

Where once was compassion and adoration, now festers resentment and despair

Curling fingers of destruction, crumble her heart beyond all repair

It now reflects in her eyes, dark pools of liquid venom

Where once was hope and laughter, resides hate and revenge

Contorting her features, twisted ghost of what once was

As the darkness takes hold, all she was is now lost.
